Bottle Jacks – Price and Model Comparison

25 June 2026 by Tomasz Szymański

Where can you find a ranking of the best bottle jacks? In this article, you will read a brief and quick comparison of models from REDATS 🙂

Where to buy a bottle jack?

The reality is, however, that you can find bottle jacks practically everywhere. It is one of those products that you can easily buy at your nearest hardware store 🙂 And often even at the supermarket.

This does not mean, though, that the aforementioned places are the right spots to purchase this type of equipment. We don’t want to point fingers at any specific companies here, but we know that “supermarket” options can often come with issues.

In short: if you are looking for a solution that will perform well in a professional auto repair shop, it’s better to choose tools from a supplier that provides equipment directly to automotive services. It’s not worth the risk. The differences in price are actually minimal, and you gain:

  • A warranty,
  • Service and maintenance support,
  • Good build quality.

What Bottle Jack Capacity Is Needed for an SUV?

For most SUVs, a 2-ton jack is enough – for example, the REDATS LS-110. However, keep in mind that not all SUVs are created equal. Lifting a Dacia Duster 1.0 LPG is a different story than lifting an AUDI SQ8 4.0 TFSI 🙂

In theory, both vehicles are SUVs. In practice, they differ quite significantly, not only in terms of size but, above all, in the vehicle’s curb weight. Therefore, this short summary might come in handy!

SUV ModelApproximate Curb Weight*Jack Model
Dacia Duster~1300 kgREDATS LS-110
Toyota RAV4~1600 kgREDATS LS-110
Kia Sportage~1500 kgREDATS LS-110
BMW X5~2200 kgREDATS LS-140
Audi Q8~2300 kgREDATS LS-140
Volvo XC90~2100 kgREDATS LS-140

*Data source: The Internets 🙂

In short: A small SUV or crossover? Your choice is: REDATS LS-110.

A large SUV or even a pickup truck? REDATS LS-140.

What Are the Best Bottle Jacks Available on the Market?

REDATS jacks are certainly solid. But honestly, the best ones are those that:

  • Are covered by a manufacturer’s warranty,
  • Are bought from a company that stocks spare parts for them,
  • Are bought from a company that offers maintenance services.

Many companies offer bottle jacks, and there are many brands out there. Theoretically, they all look similar. However, the devil is in the details. For instance, at REDATS, these seemingly simple tools are manufactured strictly to our specifications. For many competitors, a container simply arrives with whatever “the Chinese manufacturer happened to pack” 🙂

At REDATS, we decide what our bottle jacks are like – their lifting height, capacity, and even colors! And that is exactly the kind of company where it’s worth buying a bottle jack, or garage equipment in general.

Will REDATS “Bottles” Prove Themselves in Action?

We decided to check what users of REDATS equipment think about the subject. Here are a few reviews on how REDATS jacks perform:

“Powerful cylinder! You could lift a ceiling with it!” – allegro.pl customer regarding the REDATS LS-160

“Small but a beast. It gets the job done.” – allegro.pl customer regarding the REDATS LS-110

“There’s plenty of power for such a little thing.” – regarding the REDATS LS-110

Which Companies Offer Bottle Jack Servicing?

REDATS offers bottle jack servicing 🙂 However, it’s worth mentioning that we only service our own house brand jacks. We have a full inventory of spare parts, and as an authorized distributor, we know their design inside out. Therefore, the moment you report any problems or faults to us, we are able to resolve them practically on the spot!

There is just one thing we know from experience. Bottle jacks are, as a rule, very durable devices that withstand the hardships of workshop use. However, you must remember how this equipment is designed.

Inside every jack, there is a single-acting cylinder. This equipment is capable of lifting/pressing a load. However, it does not have safety locks—meaning elements that would be able to hold the weight in the raised position.

Important: The moment you lift a load up, you must provide it with additional support. For example, with jack stands.

Summary

Choosing the right bottle jack comes down to two things:

  1. Matching it to the weight of your car,
  2. Opting for reliable equipment rather than a “supermarket lottery.”

Whether you choose the compact LS-110 model for a smaller crossover or the powerful LS-140 for a heavy SUV, remember the most important thing: safety!

Safety in the workshop and on the road is fundamental. Buy from proven suppliers who will provide you with service and a warranty, and always place jack stands underneath after lifting the car.
