How to get good reviews for your car business?

8 February 2021 by Tomasz Szymański

How to get new clients for your car service? As you surely know, word of mouth is really important in our business. One satisfied client would recommend your service to 3 other ones. Remember that word-of-mouth recommendations are just one thing. It’s always a good idea to encourage clients to leave positive feedback online. How to do that?

Car service reviews online

Try walking in client’s shoes. Or picture yourself looking for some stuff online. Usually, you would write things like “tyre service + city” or “car repair city”. You see a few websites with review stars. Underneath, reviews written by people who already used the service. If there’s any content there, that’s usually what builds trust, right?

What channels

  • Google
  • Facebook

Being honest – most people use a search engine to find a car service. That’s why you should consider getting your business listed in Google My Business. Here’s what we mean:

Have you already published your business info there? It’s absolutely for free!

IT’S FREE!

How to encourage your clients to leave opinions there? Put some stand with information about your Google My Business profile – at some visible place.

Facebook

This network is no longer a place that people upload funny cat videos or vacation photos only. Almost all businesses are on Facebook already. Creating a fanpage takes a few minutes only. It’s as simple as creating your own account. And that’s the space where having good opinions matters!

Everybody went online. That’s a fact. The situation in 2020 has encouraged people to do so. How many times have you looked for a product/service online? Thousand of times. That’s for sure. Nobody drives around the city to find an open car/tyre service. It’s easier and quicker to find it online.

How to start?

You’re not online yet? Sorry to say but you’re wasting loads of customers that way. Take our word for that – you’d have many more people coming up. Obviously, if you think that you already have too much work, well then it’s fine. You don’t have to go online 🙂

Remember about one important thing. It’s not enough to be online to encourage clients to visit your service. Almost everybody is there. And people look for opinions…written by others.

How to get opinions?

Avoid buying a set of opinions. There are other ways to encourage your customers to leave their feedback.

If you want people to write about your service, do your job well. That’s obvious but many a time we forget about important things.

  1. Returning a clean car / tyres in bags – nobody expects you to wash the car but make sure it’s not more dirty than in the moment it came up to your garage.
  2. Inform the customer about delays – they may happen to everyone. Don’t wait for the customer to ask you – better call them and tell them.
  3. Don’t get angry – you see it as another car/tyre. For customers, visiting you is a stress. Don’t be surprised by strange questions.
  4. Fully inform clients about faults – if you know some parts require replacement, tell the client.
